Brief info

Monica is a stickler for detail in movement, in order to express the individual
nuances of characters or a theme. Her style is challenging yet fluid on the
performer’s body.

Physical – Intricate – Fluid

  • Monica studied at Chichester University and Laban. She has worked extensively both as a performer in productions such as Swan lake (BRB), London Olympics Closing Ceremony and Man From Uncle (feature film) and as a choreographer and movement director. Her choreographic portfolio includes commissions by Ryedale Festival Opera, BMA, Homs Arthaus, Peregrina EnChantica, Third Row Dance Company and Dance Digital to name but a few. Monica’s practice is influenced by human behaviour and relationships in current society. Her work was featured on BBC Persia, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and The Place.
    • Notable credits include​ Becoming A Woman, Dido and Aenas, Better Man, Smile, Cosi Fan Tutte, La Finta Giardiniera, The Tempest, Coppelia and The Nutcracker. ​Her work has been supported by IdeasTap, bbodance and The Arts Council England and was featured choreographer for October 2019 in One Dance UK, featured in Zealous and as ‘Ones-To-Watch’ in Hiive.
